Jmsgu3 #6492315. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552650). Sonata No. 1 BWV 525, originally for organ, arranged for clarinet trio: 2 Bb clarinets, 1 bass clarinet.Duration: 14:15, Score: 19 pages In three movements.I. AllegroII. AdagioIII. AllegroJ.S. Bach's Trio Sonatas BWV 525-530 are some of the most popular and beloved works of the Baroque period. Composed in 1717, these six trio sonatas for the organ are among Bach's earliest works for the instrument. They are all in the traditional three-movement form and are composed in the style of the Italian concerto grosso, with two upper voices (treble and alto) and a basso continuo. The two upper voices often intertwine in intricate contrapuntal melodies, while the basso continuo provides harmonic support. The works are also full of virtuosic passages that demonstrate Bach's mastery of the organ. The Trio Sonatas are considered to be among the most important and influential works of the Baroque era, and they continue to be widely performed and studied today. The Bach Trio Sonatas have been successfully transcribed for a variety of ensembles, including wind, string, and brass ensembles. The parts are easily divided among a variety of wind instruments, including flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone. In these transcriptions, the original material is retained, but often with some additional orchestration or embellishment. These transcriptions often emphasize the polyphonic texture of the original works, creating a rich soundscape. The Sonatas have also been successfully adapted for a variety of string ensembles. In these versions, the original two-part texture with the basso is maintained, creating a full and satisfying sound that allows for a more nuanced interpretation of the works. In addition, these transcriptions often add a variety of dynamic markings and articulations that were not present in the original editions. These transcriptions provide performers with a variety of options for interpreting and performing these beloved works.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017701 Composed by Giocchino Rossinl. Arranged by Friedrich Berr, Adrian Barnes. Classical. 36 pages. Cammerayguy #6216705. Published by Cammerayguy (A0.1017701). When Rossini discovered these quartets that he wrote when he was 12 he described them as : Six dreadful sonatas composed by me at the country estate of my friend Agostino Triossi, when I was at a most infantile age, not even having taken a lesson in accompaniment, the whole composed and copied out in three days. These delightful sonate a quattro are the earliest of his works to have survived and they have been in the repertoire ever since he wrote them. They were first published in an arrangement for string quartet. A version for wind quartet followed in 1828/9. This arrangement is for Wind Quintet with the addition of an oboe part. This provides a wider range of textures and also provides an opportunity to share the thematic material between all the players.

Six Bagatelles for Beethoven 250

Clarinet Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.913621 Composed by James Marshall. Classical. Individual part. 64 pages. James Marshall Music #6096487. Published by James Marshall Music (A0.913621). Six Bagatelles for Clarinet and Piano were composed in March, 2020 for Beethoven 250. They are drawn from Beethoven piano music. The sources are piano sonatas, bagatelles, and a landler. With my ever faithful friend and collaborator, London Clarinetist Alison Eales in mind, I sought to add to the Clarinet repertoire. Having written five pieces over the past two years in English manner for Clarinet (English Sonatina, English Autumn, London Concerto, Enchanted London, Postcards from England), a tip of the hat to the Austrian Titan seemed appropriate. Beethoven, unlike Mozart before him and Brahms after him, wrote no solo music for Clarinet. The Trio and scoring in Symphonies are his unique contributions to the repertoire. Beethoven was a contemporary of Weber who wrote extensively for solo Clarinet. With most of the passages being arrangements, my original homage passages frame the settings and are juxtaposed with them. The tone of the music is one of homage and recollection with no intent to imitate or parody the great master. Bagatelles are by nature lighter fare of shorter duration. Hence no long, authentic passages with inherent mood swings and elaborations. By adapting the music to the bagatelle form, it reflects the less ponderous side of the composer. Although Beethoven’s music is capable of great depth and despair, the more transcendent, pastoral, and exuberant moods prevail in these pieces. The final two movements, Recitative and Rondo, draw on the Waldstein Sonata and Emperor Piano Concerto, and Sonata Op 2 No3 as well. The Rondo theme is in Eb, my own, is reminiscent of the Emperor Concerto in it intense yet lilting motif. Perhaps the listener will hear hints of Weber, a clarinet favorite of mine, as well in this final movement. Two movements are scored for Clarinet in A, and four movements for Clarinet in Bb.

Violin and piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q6758 From: 6 Salon pieces. Composed by Louis Spohr. This edition: Sheet music. Violin Library. Downloadable. Op. 135/1. Schott Music - Digital #Q6758. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q6758). Key: G major.Even as a child, the composer, violinist and teacher Louis Spohr caused a furore with his musical talent, and very soon his reputation as a brilliant violin virtuoso preceded him. On his numerous concert tours through the whole of Europe, he played time and again the concertos he had composed for his instrument or played his own works in smaller ensembles. Apart from these 'serious' chamber music works, i.e. sonatas, trios, quartets, etc., Spohr also wrote a number of salon pieces: the first series with six titles as opus 127 and the second as opus 135 which opens with the 'Barcarole in G major' presented here. The success of the salon pieces must have been great, and the composer liked to perform these pieces himself.
